Great news!

I am going to try to get it to work and will certainly ask about anything that would bother me - sometimes I feel I ask too much so I would like to apologize in advance :-)

We are VERY excited to announce the beta release of GeoMOOSE 2!

GeoMOOSE 2 uses the OpenLayers library as it's mapping back-end but provides the GeoMOOSE customizability for administrators. There are a few remaining features we hope to be adding over the next month or so. These are mainly "port forwards" of some of the more esoteric features of the GeoMOOSE 1.6 version. GeoMOOSE 2 has been "live tested" during the Red River Valley floods and there is already a client using the GeoMOOSE feature editor in a production environment! Please ask any questions you may have about installing, running, and configuring the new version!

We have worked quite a few hours to get the Beta ready to go. The new version comes with a fresh version of the county demo. Brian Fischer at Houston Engineering has graciously allowed us to host a demonstration of the new version on his web server:

We have also started new documentation for the new version that we hope to get and keep up to date:
