Is there is a typo in the Mapfile?

admin_boundary_all.map should be admin_boundary-all.map

Subject: [Geomoose-users] SLD-Integration Step by Step

Dear Dan,

Step by Step I?m trying to reach my goal to embedd SLD into Geomoose.

In your last mail you told me, that I have to put in the full Path to
the mapfile.
Now the map-source part of my mapbook (I tried it with two "Testlayers")
looks like this:

<map-source type="wms" reference="true" name="admin_boundary-all">
<url>http://131.220.109.7/cgi-bin/mapserv</url>
<layer name="all"/>
<param name="map"
value="http://131.220.109.7/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/map/admin_boundary_all.map"/>
<param name="SLD"
value="http://131.220.109.7/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/SLD/Borders.sld"/>
</map-source>

<map-source type="wms" reference="true" name="towns">
<url>http://131.220.109.7/cgi-bin/mapserv</url>
<layer name="all"/>
<param name="map"
value="http://131.220.109.7/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/map/population.map"/>
<param name="SLD"
value="http://131.220.109.7/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/SLD/Towns.sld"/>
</map-source>

I also checked all the other assumptions for the SLD Integration:

1.) Mapserver works as WMS.

2.) The reffering mapfiles have all the mandatory entries they need to
communicate with an WMS-Server (http://mapserver.org/ogc/wms_server.html).

3.) I tested the Mapfiles with GetCapabilities
(http://131.220.109.7/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/map/admin_boundary-all.map&mode=map&SERVICE=WMS&VERSION=1.1.1&REQUEST=GetCapabilities)-and
GetMap-Requests
(http://131.220.109.7/cgi-bin/mapserv?map=/srv/www/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/map/admin_boundary-all.map&REQUEST=GetMap&VERSION=1.1.1&SERVICE=WMS&LAYERS=international&STYLES=default&SRS=EPSG:32637&BBOX=161882.125000,396388.531300,1433694.125000,1645935.125000&WIDTH=628&HEIGHT=444&FORMAT=PNG&BGCOLOR=0xffffff&TRANSPARENT=TRUE&sld=131.220.109.7/sluhmer_testspace/Daten/SLD/Borders).sld
and everything looked fine.

4.) I tested the Mapfile with a WMS-Client (Quantum GIS) and this worked
pretty well.

Despite all these tests, my two "TestLayers" Administrative Areas and
Towns under http://www.cofis.info/atlas_sluhmer are not displayed or a
pink screen appears when I turn them on.
I checked the Site Information-> Media Option in Firefox: The Layer
Administrative Boundaries (wich shows a pink screen when turned on) is
grey in the media list and doesn?t show a Preview of the Image. The
Layer Towns and Villages (wich will not be displayed) is not listed in
the media list at all.

Do you (or anybody else in the list) have any Ideas what could be the
problem?

Regards, Sebastian!
