the same as giving it the internal IP address. This probably is not going
to fix the printing because:</span></p>

single IP address. The web server looks at the header that is sent with
the request to determine which virtual website to send it to. When
opening a page by IP address, the header contains the IP address as the server
name, and thus goes to the default website.</span></p>

have tried you suggestion but I think you suspicion is rather true. The
website is hosted on a shared server so I guess I will not be able to
print! Any other suggestions- can I ask the host what the real IP address
is instead of the disguised ip infront of the firewall?<br>

resolve to the IP address of the server itself (not the IP address on the
outside of the firewall). This gets a little trickier if your site is on
a hosted server behind a firewall with multiple sites on the server.
Hopefully this is not the case and it will work with the steps above.</span></p>
