[GeoNode-devel] Geoserver Layers from 2.4 to 2.6 - permissions

I understand that the Geoserver data directory is different in 2.6 from
2.4. However, the only problem seems to be that the layers are not visible
to public users. Is there a way to replace only the layer permissions on
the layers imported with the Geonode / Geoserver 2.4 data directory?

Or is it possible to copy just the layer info from the 2.4 data directory
into the 2.6 data directory? I'm not exactly clear on how to do this,
information referencing layers and styles seems to be in many places.
