      </b>management command, I see that is calls the <b>gs_slurp() </b>method
      from "geoserver/helpers.py".<br>
      At line 473 and following, this method creates a new GeoNode Layer
      by passing it a few values, but NOT the GeoServer layer SRID.<br>
      The default value for the ResourceBase class (ancestor of the
      Layer class), defines the <b>"srid"</b> field like this:<br>
          srid = models.CharField(max_length=<wbr>255, default='EPSG:4326')<br>
      <br>
      The <b>gs_slurp() </b>method than calls the <b>set_attributes_from_geoserver(<wbr>)</b>,
      that sets other fields of the newly created Layer instance,<br>
      but it's quite convoluted, so I'm not sure if it sets the sird
      field or not.<br>
      So it's possible that the <b>"srid"</b> field of the new Layer is
      not set at all and stays at the dfaule value of 4326...<br>
      Is this a bug, or it's intended?<br>

              it seems there's no way in GeoNode to see the native SRS

              Is this correct, or there's something wrong with my setup?<br>
              How can I make Users see the native SRS of each layer?<br>
