[GeoNode-users] can't see the layers preview in the "explore layer" page - partially SOLVED

Testing the countries of Natural earth I have seen that the thumbs was 
created. So I decided to try again with my data..

it seems that, in order to generate the thumbnails the layers must be in 
epsg:4326 !!!!! This is true for vector and raster data (shapefiles and 
tiff at least).
In precedence I have tested only with data in epsg:32633 (UTM/WGS84, 
zone 33) and other CRS but now I see that WGS84 lat/long is the only CRS 
in which Geonode is able to generate the thumbs..
It is not perfect since we have to re-project the data and that can 
generate some problems (re-interpolation algorithms for raster, datum 
transformation errors), however it is good enough for starting...

do you think it is a bug or a well known feature?
do you think it can be solved?
