Hi Oliver,
you can find the sources from here

https://github.com/GeoNode/geoserver-geonode-ext/blob/2.12.x/geoserver/pom.xml

Don't know if you are familiar with Maven, but there you can find all the
dependencies needed by GeoServer for GeoNode.

In particular the WAR is built through this POM

https://github.com/GeoNode/geoserver-geonode-ext/blob/2.12.x/geoserver/web-app/pom.xml

As you may notice, except for a couple of custom extensions (wps-download -
I guess not used anymore - and printng - a REST api for printing never
backported to GeoServer) all the rest are GeoServer dependencies and
configuration stuff.

Also the source Data Dir can be found here

https://github.com/GeoNode/geoserver-geonode-ext/tree/2.12.x/geoserver/data/geonode_v212x

This one contains the basic configuration for the GeoServer plugins shipped
on the WAR build for GeoNode.

Regards,

Alessio Fabiani
