I am experiencing the same issue when I want to set a labeling
attribute Edit style > label > "label values" field (also with
2.0).<br>
It could be that this is a browser issue though (Firefox)? Lately I
could even not see the attribute values with the (i) button - but
here it could be that there were simply to many attributes.<br>

Ok, no: I just checked in my safari its the same as in Firefox (on
Mac) :(<br>

Weird. I can't even select the attribute for layers that I
previously labeled! <br>
I may be able to get "the_geom" but there is in all cases an empty
dropdown list.<br>
