[geos-devel] problem with GEOS buffer(0) -- JTS works

I tried to buffer (ie. union) these two giant multipolygons. Both
worked in JTS in less than 200mb of memory.

Both crashed PostGIS. The FJ multipolygon crashes Postgresql almost
immediately. The RS multipolygon takes a while and crashes when it
gets to about 500mb of memory usage. See attached .zip.

POSTGIS="1.0.3" GEOS="2.1.3" PROJ="Rel. 4.4.9, 29 Oct 2004" USE_STATS
DBPROC="0.3.0" RELPROC="0.3.0"

NOTE: these are really geometrycollections of polygons instead of true
multipolygons.
