Will the php bindings for GEOS remain a separate project, and no longer be bundled with future GEOS releases? And most importantly, does php-geos 1.0.0rc1 support PHP 7? Yes, this is the plan. GEOS-3.6.0 will be the first release with no embedded PHP bindings. > And most importantly, does php-geos 1.0.0rc1 support PHP 7? Yes! A buildbot is checking it for working against both PHP5 and PHP7, example: https://drone.osgeo.kbt.io/geos/php-geos/33 The build is based on an ad-hoc docker built via docker/build-test/Dockerfile.trisquel --strk; From sebastic at xs4all.nl Tue Aug 30 05:21:44 2016 From: sebastic at xs4all.nl (Sebastiaan Couwenberg) Date: Tue, 30 Aug 2016 14:21:44 +0200 Subject: [geos-devel] php-geos 1.0.0rc1 ready for test In-Reply-To: <20160830091217.GA22041@localhost> References: <20160830080900.GA5088@localhost> <55c70ba1-6bb1-c11f-99fa-9ac3b2c85a41@xs4all.nl> <20160830091217.GA22041@localhost> Message-ID: <2b4331e8-a325-97d9-bb7e-129bae52e3eb@xs4all.nl> On 08/30/16 11:12, Sandro Santilli wrote: > On Tue, Aug 30, 2016 at 10:41:06AM +0200, Sebastiaan Couwenberg wrote: >> And most importantly, does php-geos 1.0.0rc1 support PHP 7? > > Yes! Thanks, we had to remove the php5-geos package because SWIG still lacks support for PHP 7. I've created initial Debian packaging, but I'm looking for a co-maintainer with an interest in php-geos before considering uploading it as discussed on the debian-gis list: https://lists.debian.org/debian-gis/2016/08/msg00016.html Kind Regards, Bas -- GPG Key ID: 4096R/6750F10AE88D4AF1 Fingerprint: 8182 DE41 7056 408D 6146 50D1 6750 F10A E88D 4AF1 From dark.panda+lists at gmail.com Tue Aug 30 11:42:20 2016 From: dark.panda+lists at gmail.com (J Smith) Date: Tue, 30 Aug 2016 14:42:20 -0400 Subject: [geos-devel] PHP binding repository relocation In-Reply-To: <20160727190331.GA7829@localhost> References: <20160719173526.GA6055@localhost> <20160722070529.GC5715@localhost> <20160727190331.GA7829@localhost> Message-ID: On Wed, Jul 27, 2016 at 3:03 PM, Sandro Santilli wrote: > On Tue, Jul 26, 2016 at 05:12:10PM -0300, J Smith wrote: > >> * https://git.osgeo.org/gogs/geos/php-geos/commit/eb2341878f73a6bd042322d8e00ac47c322ab5bb >> appears to break on my system, as configure doesn't add the >> /opt/local/lib that MacPorts uses to the LDFLAGS. > > Any chance that you could provide an OSX build slave (drone agent) > to ensure builds succeed there ? > Unfortunately I only have a Macbook at the moment, and in the new year its connectivity to the internet is going to be limited. Also, sorry I haven't been able to take as much of this on as I would have liked, it's been a unexpectedly, shall I say, "interesting" summer and I've been a little blindsided by some life. I hope to be able to get back into the swing of things once life settles down a bit. I'm not sure how the server deals with "unstable" connections but I guess it will use whichever agent is connected at any given moment. How to get the build actually run on a Mac is another topic to be researched upon (all of this drone CI deploy is experimental, so much to have fun with...) > I believe one of my clients is going to be looking at a PHP 7 upgrade > Real Soon Now and will be doing some real world testing. 1.0.0rc1 is out there for testing. I've announced 1 week but really have no rush. Maybe you can take care of the "final" release :) --strk;
