I have found a possible fix for issue #170 <A HREF="http://trac.osgeo.org/geos/ticket/170">http://trac.osgeo.org/geos/ticket/170</A><BR>

The patch file and analysis is attached to the ticket. As this fix was a bit tricky with the ownership of the objects leaking, I was hoping someone could peer review it before it is propped into the repository.<BR>
