[Geotiff] API Docs for GeoTIFF-JAI projects

Hello all. I've been examining using GeoTIFF for a project and came across Niles Ritters' JAI implementation for GeoTIFF. However, there is no documentation associated with it, and a Google search did not yield any information as far as docs, sample, nothing. Has anyone on this list actually used this code, outside of the original author? Do any docs for it exist anywhere?
