  Major version update for the r.landscape.evol module. The previous version is renamed as r.landscape.evol.old and is kept only for backwards compatibility. It should be considered deprecated and will no longer be maintained. The new version keeps the r.landscape.evol name, but is not backwards compatible with the previous version. Although many of the input options and flags have the same names and functions as before, several options and flags have been removed, and some new ones added in. Although the basic functionality is similar, the has been a significant re-write of the underlying landscape evolution methodology. This includes the removal of code related to parsing the landscape so different process models could be run on different parts of the landscape. In practice, this always led to unrealistic phase transitions. In the new method, the focus is on tuning the parameters of a single process model in a continuous manner to better simulate the way processes transition in reality. This module has been tested enough for an initial, but users should consider the module to be in alpha phase, and not stable enough for production work.
