Distributed GIS and GRASS

Andrew,

I noticed your posting to the net concerning the OSF offering of the
CD ROM for $100.00.  With that in mind, I would like to know if there
is a distributed implementation of GRASS floating around, and if so,
how do I go about obtaining it?  Moreover, has the military contracted
to anyone to make the package tractable to distributed environments?
