[GRASS5] Proposed process for GRASS reorganization (please read)

I wish you would respond to emails at the end, this ruins the flow.

I have used command lines and I have used scripting. I do not consider the two intertwined because I typically use scripting languages which call functions, not commands. Scripts which call commands are more like macros.

I said GRASS's GUI and scripting are it's poorest features, and I stand by those statements. You speak as though I do not want scripting or the command line which is very curious. I didn't even mention the command line.

Whose email did you mean to reply to I wonder.

GUI is nice, but when working with large data sets I don't like to have to keep waiting for the last command to finish. I like scripting when the job warrants and having the ability to switch to a GUI when I need to.

Also, I don't want to lose any of the advantages that grass provides. The ability to use the power of Unix scripting or a GUI interface as required, the ability to use multiple programming interfaces, the ability to interface grass with the countless other GPL software packages, etc. These are important to me, but might not be to everyone.
