[GRASS5] r.in.gdal segmentation fault

It depends largely where the binaries have been build.
Some binaries _might_ be incompatible with never versions of redhat. 
C++ applications and applications using old thread interfaces
might be affected. 

To follow up this bug you probably should build GRASS and GDAL from 
source for redhat 9.
