Which version of GRASS do you mean? In < 5.7 *pg* commands are probably
more popular than db* commands. OTOH, I hope that database access in >= 5.7 will be 
based only on DBMI.

There are already 4 DBMI drivers (dbf,Postgres,MySQL,ODBC) in 5.1/7.
