[GRASS5] 3D boundaries in GRASS 5.7

I realy need this only for NVIZ.
However

do I understand it right, that 2 faces can not have common boundary?

    Something like

    +----+----+
    | F1 | F2 |
    |    |    |
    +----+----+

By me, it works only, when every face has it's own boundary

    +----++----+
    | F1 || F2 |
    |    ||    |
    +----++----+
