[GRASS5] How to make a new module available to GRASS command line?

While compiling a new module in GRASS 6.1cvs:

1-module name = r.example
2-put the module directory into grassroot/raster/
3-edit grassroot/raster/Makefile to include the subdir called "r.example"
4-go through ./configure;make;make install of Grass.
5-check that the r.example module is in the
grassroot/dist.i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/
6-check the r.example module in available in /usr/local/grass-6.1.cvs/bin/
At this last point, the r.example module executable is not copied from
grassroot/dist.i686-pc-linux-gnu/bin/ => /usr/local/grass-6.1.cvs/bin/

thanks,
yann
