OK. I¹m working on this. I¹ve got the basic interface done and now need to
add in the thematic code. The main issue I see at this point is how to
create even a text legend. I thought I might be able to do it using d.graph,
but this only shows the standard GRASS colors AFAICT (.e.g., red, green,
blue,...). I need to learn how to send tcltk output to a new and different
window. I can get it into a file, but users will want to see the results
without opening the file.

This depends first on whether the GRASS subset of SQL will produce a unique
value query. This is the easiest way to go, but I don¹t remember seeing the
Œunique¹ keyword in the SQL list. There are other ways to do this (the way I
did v.lda, for example) but they aren¹t as straightforward.
