If you are not sure if this is a bug ask on the Grass users list first, easy

Main ps.map expert is away till late August, but there might be other folks
able to help you before then.

Grass 6.0 is old know. Regarding the relevant changes in ps.map for Grass 6.1
branch you might like to check
