 One thing that would be nice in v.surf.bspline is for it to use the MASK,
 like v.surf.rst does, otherwise there can be a lot of warnings about no
 data in a subregion when I want to mask off areas that I want to stay
 null.  (there's a note in the patch about the MASK not applying, but I set
 it anyways for the future possibility)

 I was going to add a feature request for this, but I'm burnt out today
 from testing the processing of the patch.
