I have applied the suggested changes to 7 and 6.5. 6.4 needs some
modification because the wxGUI is not in sync with the lib/init code.
I tend to adjust the 6.4 wxGUI to lib/init and not vice versa, i.e.
leaving GISRC where it is for 6.4 and using 6.5 as testing ground.
