 what's the status of this issue? Time to backported to relbr70? I am going
 to increase the priority to blocker because it's related to options key
 names.

 BTW, both G_OPT_BASENAME_INPUT and G_OPT_BASENAME_OUTPUT has the same key
 - `basename`. Wouldn't be better to use `basename_input` and
 `basename_output`? Let's imagine a module which will use both
 parameters...
