I have exactly the same problem(described bellow) with installation
wx.metadata from addons. Have you figured out this issue?

1)Local installation works well:

->

MODULE_TOPDIR=$HOME/grass_trunk & make MODULE_TOPDIR=$HOME/grass_trunk

...no errors
