deal with some border/padding issues but the width may differ for 
platforms, translations and fonts. The window may often get the same 
size but it is not guaranteed (and it should not be, it should rather 
respect the system settings, consider for example a high-res screen and 
system font set to 250% of usual size).<br><br></div><div>626px is the current window width according to wx widget inspector on my computer. It is hard to say if the image should be few pixels smaller.<br><br></div><div>This
 might be a reason to prefer single color background (we can then make 
it transparent or color the widget background to the same color as image
 to get the similar effect but with our color, this might be more

Right now I did a try at 618x150px, 8 bit depth PNG.<br>
