<div dir="ltr">The Windows installer at <a href="https://grass.osgeo.org/grass80/binary/mswindows/native/x86_64/">https://grass.osgeo.org/grass80/binary/mswindows/native/x86_64/</a> for GRASS 8.0.0 RC1 still has the same issue as the Windows installer for 7.8.6 reported at <a href="https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/1965">https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/1965</a>. GRASS GIS will not start for local users not in the administrative group. ( On Windows home, the first user created on installation is in the Administrators group, please add a new user with standard level for testing.) Would you want a new bug created for 8.0.0 RC1? Based on the discussion in <a href="https://github.com/OSGeo/grass/issues/1965">1965</a> , a one line change in the NSIS template should fix it for 7.8.x and 8.0.X From what I have read, the NSIS installer has issues using the 'BU' designation on Windows version above 7.0 for computers with the native language different from the native language that the NSIS installer was created on.
