I would like to suggest to register persistent DOI for GRASS GIS related reference data sets such as Spearfish and North Carolina by preserving them in the Open Access repository Zenodo (<a href="http://www.zenodo.org" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">www.zenodo.org</a>).<br></blockquote><div><br></div><div>Good idea. I already considered it and I think it is quite appropriate. Please, go ahead.<br></div><div> </div><div>Best,</div><div>Vaclav</div><div><br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex">

There are already several GRASS-related datasets on Zenodo:<br>

One indicator of their relevance for science are the access- and download numbers from Zenodo, e.g. <a href="https://zenodo.org/record/3359632#.ZCBTjXZBxD8" rel="noreferrer" target="_blank">https://zenodo.org/record/3359632#.ZCBTjXZBxD8</a><br>
