[STATSGRASS] re: calculating box counting dimension in R

Hi all,

My aim is to calculate the box counting dimension of a binary dimension.

I had no luck installing r.boxcount with Grass5, and found no help 
searching the regular GRASS mailing list.

However, I will be writing my own simple box counting function in R 
because I am more familiar with it than general shell/C scripting 
(500x500 raster matrices).

If anybody has a solution that can save me some work then I will be 
happy to hear it.
