[GRASS translations] brazilian portuguese translation

wel, 
i am trying to begin a (brazilian) portuguese
translation but some dificulties:
i tried to do what is writen in the README file in the
/locale directory...

cd /locale

make pot

but i got a lot of error messages:

well, what is wrong?
(as you know (maybe) i am not an expert but just an -
a little bit - advanced USER of computers)
