S statistical package - Panel library - SGI INDIGO

The "S" statistical package was written at Bell Labs. As far as
I know it can be obtained from them. They continue to modify
and improve it as time goes on. 
In addition, a much improved version of S (S Plus), can be
obtained from an organization called Statistical Sciences Inc., 
in Seattle Wash. We are a Beta location for S Plus and have found
it to be a very powerfule tool which integrates nicely with other
graphically oriented applications such as GIS and Remote Sensing.
By the way, there is a direct link between GRASS and S which is 
being substantially improved under the auspices of several grants 
with NASA.
