Dear Grass users,

Some of you have indicated they are willing to contribute towards the
updating of the Grass Beginner's Manual that I recently provided via
anonymous ftp. I tried to email the following directly to those
concerned but was unable to reach everyone. So here's a list of
questions I (for one) would like to see answered in the final Manual:

1) Please disregard the following sections of the document:
	2.1
4.2 (referring to "v.in.genamap", which is a local hack)
	4.3
	5.4 and
	5.5
2) Are you aware of any GRASS documentation not mentioned in section
1.2? Please inform me of its title, author, subject and availability.
3) Are you aware of any FAQ's or FMM's (frequently made mistakes) that
I should add to my section 8.2?
4) We do our digitizing under Genamap and Roots, but would like to
offer the possibility of doing so under Grass. Do you have any
comments/criticism/additions to the digitising tutorial provided
by GRASS? Please send me anything you have.
5) Did you get around to writing a demo script taking the user
through Spearfish and other training materials? My section 3.5
would definitely be improved by that....
6) If you have written an interface to Grass, using the Vask library,
I would very much like to try it out and see if we might put some
   effort into that area too.

Please head all your messages "Re: grass_doc update".

Many thanks for your help in providing a good manual
to those lucky GRASS Beginners!
