Re. GRASS Beginner's manual

I finally managed to get a copy of the Postscript version of the GRASS 
Beginners Guide at 'scanner.frw.uva.nl'
The file I got is '/pub/grassman.ps' but there is a problem - I think 
that the permissions for the /pub directory are incorrect - I couldn't do 
a 'ls' command, although I could get the file - suggests to me, with my 
limited UNIX experience, like a permissions problem -perhaps the owner at 
'scanner' could check ?
