GIS & GEOSTATS

Greeting,
I'm a PhD student in radioecology and I'm using GIS and geostats softwares.
I also have developped a GIS-geostatistics mailing because of the
lack of geostatistical tools in most GIS systems. Therefore, most of the people
that have subscribed to the list are using other softwares like GSLIB, GEOEAS,
Variowin, Surface+,... that have been connected with a GIS. The main topic of the
list is geostatistics and spatial data analysis. But technical questions related
to spatial analysis in a GIS or "how to connect GIS X to geostats software Y ?"
are also welcome.
I thought this is could be of your interest.

This list is new and is growing slowly but surely (160 subscribers 06/06/95)
Most of the subscribers are newcomers in the field of geostatistics and 
I'm surfing on internet to make some advertising and so increase communications 
between specialists and beginners in this field.

ai-geostats-digest also exists, so people who want to read a digested list can 
subscribe to that. They should use ai-geostats-digest-request at gis.psu.edu to 
get the info.


I suggest to those who wants to have more information about the people
working with geostatistics and GIS to send me with their address
few words about their field of work. On request, I will then be able to 
send a list with addresses and key words.
