Well, some time ago I did this and if I remember well you can
use the GRIDASCII command in ARC/INFO to get it into ascii
and  give the file afterwards the GRASS-header to make it ready to
r.in.ascii ... .Perhaps there are some other methods but this one
should work for sure.

(the Grass-header info is easy to
retrieve in ARC/INFO)
