ps.map icon troubles

Grassusers:

I am having trouble getting icons out of a ps.map script.  The icons that
appear seem to be default large diamonds, regardless of the icon file that
I name.  Here is my script:

scale 11 inches
vector states100
  color black
  width 1
  end
sites nationstations48
  color gray
  icon cac
  size 1
  desc n
  end
comments meantemp.comments
  where 1 .5
  font Helvetica-BoldOblique
  fontsize 20
  color black
  end
psfile /usr/user9/imp/imp48.ps
end


cac can contain any icon that I draw using ps.icons, but all I ever get is
large diamonds.

What am I doing wrong?
