Yes, it works.  But the documentation is mainly on the web site (url ?)
I was not able to use the binaries (too many libraries to update),
so I get the sources and compiled the whole thing (including the
MESAGL and Lesstif libraries), and it worked OK.  You have to
open a Grass shell, and launch "nviz2.2" from it.  nviz2.2 is
(by default) installed in /usr/local/bin...
