Folks,

While compiling Grass4.3 on LinuxPPC I ran into the following error when
I executed the command

GISGEN.my

The compilation began and then abruptly terminated giving this error I
recorded with the > commmand, though it did not record that the fifos
had been made properly as indicated on the screen. mklinux and linuxppc
are binary compabitble so I used the mklinux head file. Here is the
output.

GISBASE=/usr/local/grass43
SRC=/usr/local/grass43/src43/src
CMD=/usr/local/grass43/src43/src/CMD
HEADER=mklinux
ARCH=linux
####################################################################
GISGEN                              Fri Aug 11 13:48:11 EDT 2000
 GISBASE = /usr/local/grass43
 SRC     = /usr/local/grass43/src43/src
 CMD     = /usr/local/grass43/src43/src/CMD
 HEADER  = mklinux
 ARCH    = linux

first step: man

GISGEN: man - Fri Aug 11 13:48:11 EDT 2000

#################################################################
/usr/local/grass43/src43/man
  make -f OBJ.linux/make.rules

GISGEN failure at STEP: man

At the command line the error showed as:

/usr/local/grass43/src43/gmake4.3: make command not found
GISGEN failure at STEP: man

I know this is something basic that I am missing on here. As far as I
can tell all of my modifications to the GISGEN.my gmake4.3 are correct
and in the right spots. Remming out the offending next_step is not the
solution for this as this is an execution problem I believe.
