[GRASSLIST:1202] converting e00 binary files to GRASS

Let me first thank everyone who responded to my question about sdts and 
GRASS. I am now up and running with that.  It turned out to be a file 
extension problem.

Now I am looking for a way to convert some DLGs that are in binary e00 
format.  I understand  that m.in.e00 handles ascii files only.  Is there a 
way to do this?  Additionally, i have also had some troubles with v.in.shape 
which came up with some sort of segmentation error.  Any suggestions?
