DBM is a generic Data Base Manager library, ie. it makes it easy to
manipulate key/value pairs.  The standard packages providing it are GNU dbm
on GNU/Linux systems.  For Red Hat the gdbm and gdbm-devel packages are
needed, not sure about other systems.
