1. PostgreSQL support doesn't depend upon ODBC; you can use
--without-odbc and still use the *.pg commands.

2. To build the ODBC driver, you need the UnixODBC library, from
www.unixodbc.org. All external dependencies are listed in the
REQUIREMENTS.html file.
