Looks like you found a long-standing bug in the configure script (only
happens when you specify the full path to gdal-config). It said yes to
that and then checked again to see if you had done just --with-gdal, and
the answer to that was no! I have fixed it in CVS so the second check is
conditional on the first one failing. The bug was harmless though.
