Hello, 

I did some analysis with r.le (especially r.le.pixel) for an ecological 
project. And I would like to suggest another option in r.le, when doing 
anaylsis in different scales (e.g. 1, 2, n pixel distance included in the 
calculation), it would be very useful to do a " ring-analysis" instead of a 
radius-analysis. 
With the latter I can tell what's the e.g. mean of the core pixel plus the 
pixel in a radius of 2 pixels like

a b x b a
a b b b a
a a a a a

but I can not tell what the mean in a certain distance is. this would be 
pretty interesting for ecological research, e.g. if a species if affected by 
the whole mean or by the mean of PP in a distance of x meter.

I hope I did not miss a reference to such a tool in the manual ;-)
