[GRASSLIST:2126] Boolean And of vector data

Dear GRASS Users:

Happy new year!

I trying to make Boolean AND of vector data between two vector line data.
I tried v.cutter. But GRASS didn't make new map.

And v.overlay (in GRASS5.7) cannot use line vector data.

My question is
How way does GRASS have how to make Boolean AND of vector data between two vector line data?

Please give me your suggestion.
