[GRASSLIST:4709] Installation on Suse 9.1

Hello all!
I have a problem with the installatio of Grass57.  When I try to compile
with make I get the message "/usr/local/gdal-1.2.3/libgdal.la: file
format not recognized"
 
Can someone help me?
