oh, if you are using Debian it is easy, you just need to install the
GRASS plugin for GDAL: the libgdal1-grass package.

libgdal1-grass - GRASS extension for the Geospatial Data Abstraction
Library

This provides /usr/lib/gdal_GRASS.so

GRASS works fine with this installed.


If you install the qgis-plugin-grass package, that should get you most
of the things you need I think.

Debian's mapserver package is brand new, it should make it into
the Testing archive very soon (maybe today/tomorrow?). see:
