Hi all,

To answer my own question:
When I compiled gdal I used
--with-pg=/usr/local/pgsql/bin/pg_config which shows
that the postgres libraries are under
/usr/local/pgsql/lib. However it seems that ogr looks
for libpq.so.3 under /usr/lib. I solved this by
copying the libpq.so.3 to /usr/lib, however I find it
strange that if pg_config tells gdal that the pgsql
libs are under a specifi directory it keeps looking
for the libs under /usr/lib/

Cheers,

Jaime
