it looks like your installation of gdal is somewhat faulty. Please
check that libgdal.so.1 is existent on your filesystem and can be found
in one of the folders listed in /etc/ld.so.conf.

If the path to libgdal is not in there, add it and run ldconfig (as
root) afterwards.
