Spatially or on the disk?


Spatially in the same projection: r.region, r.support, v.transform

New projection: r.proj, v.proj

On the disk: 
 raster - try r.pack/r.unpack from the Wiki Add-ons page
   http://grass.gdf-hannover.de/twiki/bin/view/GRASS/GrassAddOns#grass6raster
 vector - just copy the directory from $MAPSET/vector/$MAPNAME
