[GRASS-user] r.watershed in grass 6.1 and 5.4

Hi,
I have for a student tried to run r.watershed on a MacBook Pro. The  
command was as follows:

/Applications/Grass/grass54.app/Contents/Resources/grass54/etc/water/ 
ram el="dem25upper at kbackavrinning" t=75 ba="kbbasins" ac="kbacc"

SECTION 1a (of 5): Initiating Memory.

SECTION 1b (of 5): Determining Offmap Flow. Percent Complete:

SECTION 2: A * Search.                      Percent complete:

SECTION 3: Accumulating Surface Flow.       Percent complete:

SECTION 4: Watershed determination.

SECTION 5: Closing Maps.

everything seems to work fine, but When it reaches Section 5 then it  
just stands on one point and chews ....
I had it run for over 12 hours, but nothing happened in the final  
stage and it never finished.
Has anyone been able to successfully run it?
Is there a special trick? Should I use a Linux version (that is  
possible)
I'd appreciate any hints or suggestions on the matter.
